With the new year approaching, I wanted to take a second to write a little update on the Furnish Shop. The shop has legitimately turned into a collection of things that I absolutely love and am so proud of. All of the things in the shop are things that I have found in different little places or flea markets and have sort of nursed back to health. The amount of my time spent cleaning copper and brass over the past months collecting these things is, well, a lot. But seeing these pieces, that I can only imagine, have such wonderful histories and stories to tell, come back to life and shine like new makes all of the elbow grease worth it.
I have just finished setting up the nuts and bolts of the shop, which has been a little bit more of a challenge than I had anticipated. Figuring out how to calculate tax correctly, choose a payment gateway and shipping method have been my biggest sticking points. Those wrinkles have now been ironed out and I am ready to start selling to the public. I will be adding more items to the shop as I find more vintage treasures to share.
I hope that you all enjoy the eclectic and boho vibe of the shop. I think that the items that are now available are a great representation of my style and of the types of things I will hope to keep stocked in the shop. I love color and metals and texture; pieces that can pop against a white wall and add character and quirk to a home.
Thank you so much for visiting my site and my shop. Furnish has been a labor of love for me over the past year and sharing it with someone other than my husband has been fear-inducing to say the least! I hope that you find something that you love in both the blog and the shop and that you visit again soon!
